[Description]

Obsidian is a digital forensics platform concept designed to help investigators work through extracted mobile-device data. The product brings communication, activity, location and evidence into a structured interface that supports both high-level analysis and detailed investigation.

[The Challenge]

Forensic platforms contain enormous volumes of interconnected information. Users need to identify patterns, move between entities and examine individual records without losing the context of the wider investigation. The interface therefore had to support depth without presenting every layer at once.

[The Concept]

We structured the experience around progressive disclosure. Summary views surface the most relevant patterns first, while detailed screens let users move into recovered data, accounts, communication and locations. A modular dashboard and restrained visual language keep the hierarchy clear across complex workflows.

A product concept that turns fragmented forensic data into a more coherent and navigable investigative environment.

[The Idea]

Complexity is unavoidable in an investigation. Confusion is not.

We designed Obsidian to help users move between the wider pattern and the individual piece of evidence, keeping relationships and context visible throughout the process.
